Overview

Our client is a leader in control valves, regulators and other devices used in applications ranging from high temperature steam regulation in municipal and institutional HVAC systems to specialized fluid control systems.

Responsibilities

The Industrial Solutions Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will have responsibility within a Northeast Region for: acquiring, establishing and developing relationships with existing and prospective customers for the Industrial Solutions brands. The RSM is the technical conduit between our plants, customers and engineering teams, utilizing a consultative sales approach on the concept, design, proposal, technology, and specifications driving new business through building customer loyalty and trust. This role will drive creation and be responsible for supporting and driving new business development strategies and securing new design wins. Duties include channel management, determination of customer requirements, conducting technical sales presentations and developing technical business proposals.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Requires a bachelor's degree with 7-10 years directly related sales experience with channel partners and major end users in the field or in a related area or an equivalent amount of work experience. Steam and valve application required.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering (preferable), Business Management, Sales and Marketing or other related areas. MBA a plus.
  • Supporting new business development activities and associated bookings.
  • Making field sales calls on existing and prospective customers in assigned territory or customers developing capture strategy based on technical product attributes.
  • Identify and qualify new and strategic opportunities
  • Internal review of pricing and new business win strategies in conjunction with the Business Unit Site Leaders and Director of Global Sales.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical customer presentations.
  • Developing business proposals, responding to RFP’s, and complex proposal generation
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of customer programs, requirements, and organization.
  • Meet or exceed annual booking goals set for respective territory.
  • Develop and implement strategies that successfully target new customers utilizing technical core competencies capturing additional market share from competitors.
  • Identifying target accounts in which to promote new business and maintain customer contact reports for service and follow-up.
  • Support key industry trade shows, exhibitions and customer events.
  • Identify customer requirements, market trends, competitive landscape, and present new product development opportunities to leadership team.
  • Heavily support channel with steam applications and building management system solutions.
  • Define and develop Channel Partner strategy in conjunction with Director of Global Sales.
  • Actively manage contract negotiations and special price agreements.
