Overview

Our client is a leader in control valves, regulators and other devices used in applications ranging from high temperature steam regulation in municipal and institutional HVAC systems to specialized fluid control systems.

Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The Quality Coordinator will have the responsibility to oversee all aspects of Quality Assurance, Calibration Programs, and Process Controls.
  • Serve as the company Quality Management Representative in all matters concerning Quality.
  • Represent the company with external entities such as suppliers, customers, subcontractors and regulatory agencies.
  • Establish appropriate and effective controls to ensure compliance to customers’ requirements. Assure appropriate processing of nonconforming items.
  • Review warranty claims and resolve technical issues with the customer if a warranty is accepted or denied.
  • Manage the administration of supplier and customer quality audits, surveys and reviews.
  • Manage the third-party audit/certification process resulting in certification to industry standard process and quality management systems, such as ISO, PED, ASME, etc.
  • Implement and manage continuous improvement activities, including but not limited to effective corrective and preventive action programs, internal audits and training.
  • Lead activities to determine Root Cause Analysis using specific tools and programs to achieve continuous improvements.
  • Support staffing decisions and assist to develop/implement training and cross-training programs.
  • Continual management and improvement of QMS Auditing all current processes to maintain standards and specifications Ensure quality of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Completing analysis in any case of deviation. Assist with projects and meetings.
  • Manage all quality complaints.
  • Responsible for organization and planning of internal audit for systems, products and processes.
  • Management of all external audits.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in quality with 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Must have a good working knowledge of ISO based quality systems
  • Thorough knowledge of quality systems, quality control, process control, statistical analysis, testing and inspection methods, blueprint reading, assembly and machining processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical problem solving, geometry, mechanical properties, metallurgy, etc.
  • Ability to juggle several priorities simultaneously, paying attention to details and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and practical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of personal computers and standard office software with ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well with others
